Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information FutFind collects, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the app, and information received from third-party sign-in providers.
- Account information, such as your email address and password
- Profile information, such as your username, date of birth, and age
- Team and match information you create, including team names, descriptions, match details, notes, and related participation data
- Chat content and moderation-related information, including messages, reports, blocking actions, and support requests
- Information you send when contacting support
- Location information, when you grant permission, to support nearby match discovery and related features
- Technical and usage information, such as app events, screen views, device and app metadata, and crash or diagnostic data
2. How We Use Information
- Create and manage your FutFind account
- Authenticate users and support sign-in with email, Google, and Apple
- Show nearby content and enable location-based match features
- Create, manage, and display matches, teams, requests, and chat features
- Provide safety and moderation features, including blocking, reporting, and account deletion
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Monitor, improve, and analyze the performance and usage of FutFind
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that support FutFind, including providers for backend infrastructure and authentication, mobile app delivery and update services, sign-in services, maps and location search, product analytics, and crash and error monitoring.
- When you choose to interact with other users through teams, matches, requests, or chat
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the safety, rights, or property of FutFind, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
4. User Content and Visibility
Some information you create in FutFind is meant to be visible to other users in order for the service to function. For example, your username, team participation, match participation, and certain team or match details may be visible to other users depending on the feature you use.
Chat messages, reports, and blocking data are used to provide messaging and safety features. Moderation-related data may be reviewed as needed to investigate abuse, policy violations, or support requests.
5. Analytics and Diagnostics
FutFind uses analytics and diagnostics tools to understand product usage, improve features, and detect crashes or technical problems.
These tools may collect event names and feature usage, screen views, app and device metadata, and crash or error information.
FutFind currently uses PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for crash and error monitoring. We configure these tools to limit the collection of unnecessary personal information where practical.
6. Location Data
If you grant location permission, FutFind may access your device location to help show nearby teams, matches, and related content. You can control location access through your device settings.
Match and request features may also store location details you choose, including coordinates or selected places, so those features can function correctly.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide FutFind, operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and support safety and moderation features.
If you delete your account, we will take steps to delete or de-identify your information in accordance with our systems and legal obligations. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or operational recordkeeping.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as rights to access, correct, delete, or request information about how your data is used.

9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
FutFind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using FutFind, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
